A Debt to Society

from Clarion Call by The Human Project

/

lyrics

How can something right become so wrong? Not trying to forget, but trying to move on. Poverty perpetuates their greed to globalise their banks wherever they should need - they will make this country bleed. They threw the truth away, they gave up reason for another day. After all this time we canʼt deny we need democracy in our society.

A subterfuge, a deceit, a system thatʼs controlled by the elite. An imperialistic war disguised as altruism as before. A global sovereign free from law with much to answer for.

They threw the truth away, they gave up reason for another day. After all this time we canʼt deny we need democracy in our society.

A war amongst ourselves to alleviate our grasp, the hope we once did feel almost in the past. But now we fight for more, and more weʼll fight for. No intimidation, no false accusations will stop us fighting for the many not for the few - weʼll stand our ground against those baring blue.
